WiggMap compares 160+ countries with real data — salaries, rent, taxes, safety, climate — so you can make an informed decision before uprooting your life.
WiggMap was built around a single question: where is life actually better for someone like me? Not the tourist version. Not the influencer version. The real one — with real salaries, real rents, real taxes, and real tradeoffs.
The web is full of "best countries to live in" lists based on vibes. WiggMap is built differently. Every country page shows structured data for income, cost of living, tax pressure, healthcare quality, safety index, climate, immigration ease, and more — side by side, in a format you can actually use.
It's built by one person, continuously improved, and trilingual by design — because the expat question is asked in French, Spanish, and English just as much as in one language.
WiggMap is for the person who's wondering whether to move to Portugal or Thailand. The remote worker choosing between Tbilisi and Mexico City. The family comparing healthcare and schooling across borders. The retiree calculating whether their pension stretches further in Southeast Asia or Eastern Europe.
It's also for the curious — people who just want to understand how the world actually works, beyond the fantasy version sold in glossy magazines. Real salaries. Real costs. Real tradeoffs. No filter.
WiggMap is building an audience of internationally-minded people — people actively researching where to live, work, or retire abroad. If your product or service speaks to expats, nomads, or global citizens, we'd love to talk.
Every country profile combines multiple authoritative sources: national statistics offices, OECD, World Bank, Eurostat, INSEE, Numbeo cross-checks, IMF reports, official tax authority publications, immigration ministries, and primary press sources. Salaries are reported net of mandatory contributions. Rent figures use studio references in mid-tier cities to allow apples-to-apples comparison. All monetary values are normalized to USD at recent exchange rates and clearly labeled.
Data is reviewed and refreshed on a rolling basis throughout the year, with priority given to high-traffic country pages and to fields known to change frequently (currency rates, minimum wage updates, visa rules). When a value reflects a recent change, the source date is noted in the field hint.
If you spot outdated or incorrect data, use the "Correct data" button on any country page. Every correction is reviewed against primary sources before being applied — and your contribution makes the next visitor's research a little more accurate.
WiggMap is an independent project, with no VC funding and no growth-hacking playbook — just a focused effort to build the most useful comparison tool for people navigating one of life's biggest decisions.
