Where to live in Prague as an Erasmus student

Shared flats are the norm. Most Erasmus students live in the neighbourhoods of Žižkov (bohemian, nightlife), Vinohrady (chic, cafes, parks), Karlín (gentrified, trendy), Holešovice (former industrial, new scene). The tram is efficient — no need to be in the dead center.

University dorms (Strahov, Větrník) are cheaper (€150-250/month) but far from the city and basic. Private shared flats at €280-380 remain the best comfort/price/social compromise.
